Design levels

Pick a level, and we plan the time

Art is measured in time, so the level you choose sets how long you sit. The booking page shows the studio’s price for each level when you choose it.

  • Adds about 30 min

    Simple

A gradient, a French edge, or a small detail on one or two nails. A good first set if you like soft, glossy color.

    • Gradient or French edge

    • One or two accent nails

    • Chrome or glaze finish

  • Adds about 1 hr

    Detailed

Hand-painted art on most nails: florals, lines, small characters and layered color.

    • Art on most nails

    • Two or three colors in one design

    • Small gems on a few nails

  • Adds 1 hr 30 min or more

    Full

Art on every nail, mixed finishes and small charms, planned from your reference photo.

Why it takes time

Every layer is cured

Gel is built in thin layers, and each one is cured under a lamp. That is why a plain color takes about an hour and a detailed set takes an afternoon.

We tell you the time when we plan your set, so you can book the afternoon you need.

  • Plain gel color: about 1 hour

  • Soft-gel extensions: about 2 hours before art

  • Art: 30 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes or more on top

Before you sit down

Bring a reference, any reference

A screenshot, a saved post, a photo of a sweater. This is how it becomes a set.

  1. Step 1: Send the picture

Text or email a photo of the look you like, and one of your hands in daylight if you can.

  2. Step 2: We plan it with you

We reply with the level, length and shape that suit your nails, and the time to hold.

  3. Step 3: Book the time

Choose a slot on the booking page that fits the time we planned. There is no deposit.

  4. Step 4: Sit back

We build the set by hand and show you before the final top coat. Small changes on the day are fine; bigger ones may add time, and we tell you first.

Questions

Before you book

What does a design level mean?

A level is how much art goes on the set, measured in time: simple adds about 30 minutes, detailed about an hour, and full an hour and a half or more. The design guide shows what each looks like.

How far ahead should I book?

Detailed and full sets take more time, so book them a week or two ahead and send your reference when you do. A plain gel manicure needs less planning.

Do you speak Korean?

Yes. Minah and Jaewon both speak Korean and English, and you can tell us which you prefer when you book.

Can I bring a picture?

Please do. Text or email it before your visit. We work from your reference, and we tell you if any part of it can’t be done on your nails.

Do you take walk-ins?

No. Neon is by appointment only, so each set gets the time it needs.
